About

When I first moved here on March 13th, 2020, I knew I wanted to get more entwined with an organization that really gave back to people. Being a part of different organizations before, I really wanted to find a non-profit that was deep rooted and that really made a deep impact; not only on those they are serving but the new city I was moving to. For me I got connected with Envision:You through a friend of Mr. Hayden. Went to the garden party my first year, and was instantly enamored and addicted to everything they stood for.

I grew up with a mom who inspired me to be the best I can be. To give back as much as I receive. I attended and supported several organizations back in Chicago, but it was not until I moved here and told my mom about Envision:You, did she fully understand why I was excited to be in Denver. She (and my dad) was a huge philanthropist in Iowa (where I grew up and am from). Just before her passing and her decline, we talked. I explained that all the work she was doing in Des Moines with mental health, this company is doing the same. They are helping house people and just helping people. I saw how happy she was, and I knew, I had to donate for her, for those in need, and for those who are affected. This company brought more meaning to me and how I view the world. Envision:You is truly my favorite non-profit, Steven is someone I look up to for strength and this non-profit, truly is amazing.

Envision:You really stood out to me in a lot of ways. My dad and I are the only two on his side of the men in the family, who are not alcoholics or gamblers. I have friends that were, are and are recovering. I had been addicted to different drugs and used different drugs. MDMA, Coke, weed, cigs, tried lsd/acid, and mushrooms. Helping those who need it and want it is what I try to do daily. Seeing what and how Envision:You is taking care of people really warms me. Being a realtor, I got into it because I believe in one of the basic needs of humans: shelter. Knowing that I am helping those who need these types of assistances and needs, I could not ask for more. I always tell my other half; ‘When the world stops looking at people in categories and starts looking at people as people, we all will be much happier.’ That is what envision you is doing, that is why I am honored to be a part of them.
