Eligibility:

• GCAR Scholarships are only awarded to students who attend high school in Grand County, Colorado
• GCAR Scholarships are awarded to students who wish to pursue college, university, trade school, or other training programs to further their adult life after high school.

A complete Scholarship Application will include: 

• Completed Application Form
• Most recent academic transcript and SAT/ACT scores (if completed)
• A resumé, including:
  • Extracurricular activities; include volunteer work, employment, and/or other activities
  • Brief explanation of financial need for scholarship
  • One letter of reference from a non-related adult (such as a family friend, teacher, or employer)
  • Scholarship Essay: provide a response (300 - 600 words) to the following question:
    • What has “home” in Grand County meant to you?

Deadline: 

All completed applications must be received by April 4, 2025 for consideration and must include all requested items above. This form will not be available beyond that date.
